Pashmina prized by the rayality in the past is often referred to as the "diamond" of all fubers. It is the most luxurious, lightweight and rarest cashmere fiber found in the world.

Pashmina is a unique form (Diameter : 12-14 micron,Length:34-36mm) of cashmere that comes from the soft underbelly of the "Chyangra" mountain goat, which is native to the Himalayan belt, an area around and above 12,000 to 14,000 feet. The cashmere fiber or Pasham, which literally means "inside" is hidden underneath alayer of thick and coarse dead fibers.

Shawl making in Nepal is not a Science but an art a craft involving various hand process. Traditional method are still used at each stage in the creation fo these exquiste shawls.
